Every conflict hides the same longing:

"I just want to feel safe with you."

I know that ache - it used to undo me too.

Most of us are simply trying to love differently than we were taught — to stop repeating the patterns that once protected us, but now keep us apart.

Let’s meet that moment — together — with presence, honesty, and compassion.

This is Relational Empowerment — where tenderness becomes strength,
and love no longer needs armor.

How Relational Empowerment Changes Our Trajectory

Before I ever called this work anything, life kept handing me heartbreaks I didn’t know how to survive — until one day I realized they were lessons.

When I was six, my parents sat my little brother and me down to say that our dad was leaving — because of an affair.
Th innocence of my world imploded that day..
I can still see the wallpaper pattern; I remember trying not to breathe too loud, as if remaining frozen would keep the truth from landing.

That was the day I made my first secret vow:
I will never make my children feel what I feel right now.

Fast‑forward a few decades.
I’m sitting on the floor with my own two kids, ages three and five, trying to find words gentle enough to explain why their dad is moving out — because he’s having an affair.

Same ache. Same scene. Different generation, same pattern.

Something in me broke open that night.
I realized I wasn’t going to think or promise my way out of these loops.
I had to learn how to proactively interrupt them — how to see the invisible wiring of old pain that keeps repeating itself until someone chooses to deconstruct it.

So I began.
I studied with mentors. I felt to the roots of the pain. I sat in countless messy conversations.
Sometimes I wanted to quit; sometimes I did. But when I brought enough presence, something foundational would always change.

I uncovered the self‑defeating patterns that hide beneath good intentions, detoxified them, and practiced the new, life‑giving ones — the ones that allow love to flow through us without losing contact with self or other.

From that, Relational Empowerment was born — a practice of staying connected and protected at the same time, where compassion and strength grow side by side.

My second marriage became my classroom — not convenient, not perfect, but genuinely alive.
Growth rarely looked graceful; it always looked real.

And the work that grew from this has one aim: helping others stop repeating pain that isn’t theirs, meet truth without destruction, and learn to foster the kind of love that actually lasts.

If you’re ready to interrupt the patterns that have been holding love at bay, let’s explore what is calling you forward.

If every conversation feels harder than it should, let’s rewrite that pattern together.

— Feel the Difference

Each month, I offer a small number of gift sessions — 50-minute containers for new clients ready to explore this work.

Together, we’ll start by noticing where old defenses sneak in — and practice new, relationally empowering patterns that create genuine safety.

You don’t have to prepare. Just arrive as you are — curious, complicated, open.

Most people leave breathing easier — calmer, gentler, steadier in a way their body savors.

If something in you feels intrigued — even if another part is unsure — that’s enough. Let’s begin there.

About Elyse Hope Killoran — Relationship Coach & Trauma‑Informed Practitioner

After spending decades tracing how emotional patterns form — and how they quietly script the stories we live — Elyse now helps people interrupt those old blueprints and create new ones grounded in care, courage, and truth.

Even now, she sometimes catches an old reflex sneaking back — and smiles, grateful that awareness comes sooner every time.

A Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude graduate with honors in Psychology, Elyse has guided thousands on their paths of personal growth since 2000.

For twelve years she taught wellness and consciousness‑based programs online before realizing that lasting transformation required going deeper — beneath mindset to the nervous system, beneath ideas to the unspoken.

That insight led her into the next chapter of study and healing, earning certifications in Brainspotting™ and Havening™, modalities that help the body release old emotional imprints.

In 2024 she brought that trauma‑informed expertise into the realm of relationships, integrating Dr. Steven Stosny’s CompassionPower and Terry Real’s Relational Life Therapy (RLT) into her coaching approach.

By 2026, Elyse was selected as one of just five coaches for Terry Real’s inaugural Living Love program — the first offered to the public — where she helps participants translate RLT principles into daily practice and lasting connection.

Through Relational Empowerment, she continues that mission:
to help people break repeating patterns, repair trust, and remember what connection feels like when truth is gentle and strength is kind.

You can’t heal what you won’t name — but once you see the pattern, you can choose differently.

Here, we’re part of a quiet revolution — one honest conversation at a time.

This is where inherited patterns lose their power,
and connection becomes strong enough to hold it all.

None of us get this perfect. But every time we choose to stay open instead of armored, something in the world heals a little.
